Evan Antonangeli Agent, Upper Cape Realty — Buzzards Bay

What was your most interesting job before going into real estate? My most interesting job prior to going into real estate was working as a chef at a cafe in an ultra-progressive neighborhood in Brisbane Australia!

Growing up, what did you want to be? Growing up I wanted to be the starting center for the Boston Bruins.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? When I want to relax hands down I head to the beach. Grab a chair, throw the headphones on, and just be present, even for a few minutes.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? If I could meet any well-known figure it would be Anthony Bourdain. He was one of the greatest storytellers of our generation. He was unapologetic in standing up for the marginalized and standing up for what’s right.

What do you love most about the industry? What I love most about the industry is the ability to learn every day. No two days are alike.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? The most difficult aspect of the job is the market. You can provide the greatest service in the world, work harder, create more content and network harder than anyone else, but sometimes the inventory is just not there.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately? Podcasts I’m listening to right now are “The Lineup With Dave Prodan” and “The Dave Chang Show.” The Dave’s are bringing it ha ha. I’m currently reading “Say Nothing” by Patrick Radden Keefe, an incredible book about the troubles of Northern Ireland.

What’s your favorite meal in Boston? There are so many great ones. An Italian Sub from Monica’s on a park bench in the North End or Fish & Chips and a pint of Guinness from the Druid in Cambridge

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Boston? The Boston Fire Department Engine 33/ Ladder 15 Firehouse in Back Bay. It’s an absolute gem.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job? Hoarders…..

What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you? I’m a published poet … seriously.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why? My favorite vacation spot is Donegal in the Irish countryside. It’s right on the ocean, with some of the greatest people in the world and the best Guinness on earth. What’s not to love?

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Be prepared to hustle seven days a week.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? Clozio. For someone who’s as detailed about transitions as I am, this app rules.
