by Jason Porterfield

Gibson Sotheby’s Realty expands presence in Arlington

The Gibson Sotheby Realty group has acquired Bowes Real Estate, which is based in the western suburbs of Boston.

Bowes Real Estate has over 40 employees and is considered and operates in 10 different suburban towns including Arlington, Somerville and Woburn.

President and owner Robert Bowes will continue to play a leading role in the group, according to a press release.

“Joining Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty is a natural fit for our company,” Bowes said in a written statement. “In addition to our shared core values, this expansion of talent and geographical reach will greatly benefit our team, as will the firm’s investment in digital sales processes that will put our associates and their clients well ahead of the curve.”

Jackson LTD. acquired by Robert Paul Properties

Robert Paul Properties has acquired Jackson LTD., one of the oldest independently owned brokerages in Norwell. Jackson has primarily focused on real estate on the South Shore for the past 35 years.

The Jackson office will continue operations at the same location but will be under the Robert Paul name. This will be the luxury real estate group’s ninth office location in Massachusetts. The location of having an office in the midpoint between Cape Cod and Boston was a main factor for this acquisition, according to Robert Paul founding principal Patty Jackson.

“Patty Jackson and I have long had a mutual admiration for each other. Her level of client service is a perfect fit for the Robert Paul brand. I look forward to working with her in this exciting new venture,” said Robert Paul Properties co-CEO Paul Grover.
