Anne Meczywor of Roberts & Associates Realty Inc. in Lenox, MA was installed Dec. 4 as president of the 24,000-member Massachusetts Association of Realtors.

Meczwyor was inducted at a ceremony at The Williams Inn in Williamstown, MA and included the installation of MAR board of directors and Executive Committee for 2019.

Meczwyor’s term will begin Jan. 1, 2019. As president, Meczwyor will direct the internal and external activities of the Association, attend all meetings of the MAR Board of Directors and Executive Committee, represent MAR at important meetings and business functions and act as the official spokesperson for the Association on issues relating to the local housing market and real estate industry, according to a press release announcing her appointment. In addition, Meczwyor will also represent MAR on a national level at NAR Board of Directors and the New England Realtors Committee.

In the past, the new president has served as the 2018 president-elect and as secretary/treasurer in 2016 and 2017. Prior to that, Meczwyor served as the 2015 MAR Vice President of Communications/Technology and 2014 MAR Vice President of Government Affairs.

Locally, she was the president of the Berkshire County Board of Realtors in 2010 and was named Realtor of the Year by her local board. Since 2001, Meczwyor has earned numerous certifications like the Certified Residential Specialist and Military Relocation Professional.

At the same ceremony, Melody Skye Roloff, Realtor with EXIT Realty Beatrice Associates in Middleton, was chosen to represent the Greater Boston chapter of MAR.

As the regional representative for the Greater Boston region, Roloff will coordinate association objectives, activities within the Greater Boston Association of Realtors and meet regularly with local and regional leadership to discuss industry issues. As a result of her position, Roloff automatically becomes a member of the MAR Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

Roloff has been a member of the MAR Board of Directors since 2013, serving as a member of the Leadership Committee and Special Events Task Force. She was also named Realtor of the Year in 2014 and served as the president of her local association last year.

On the national level, Roloff served on the NAR Board of Directors in 2017.
