Clients who work with Boston-area agent Rob Ticktin get 20 years of experience with a real estate broker and a general contractor rolled into one. The former CNN Headline News sports anchor started flipping houses after earning his MBA from Bentley University and has been hooked on the real estate industry ever since.
While his experience in broadcast media certainly helps with his social media presence, what truly sets Ticktin apart from the competition is his background in construction. He has his Massachusetts Construction Supervisor license, as well as his Home Improvement Contractor license. On the sell side, he is able to help clients address issues before the home hits the market. For his buyers, he can quickly assess a home’s health and give on-the-spot estimates for necessary repairs as well as future renovations.
Ticktin had the best year of his 20-year career in real estate in 2021 and followed that up with an even-better year in 2022. His proudest accomplishment, however, was his final sale of last year: Twelve years after his best friend passed away suddenly, Ticktin was able to help his friend’s son get an incredible deal on his first condo.
Ticktin has lived in Needham for the past 20 years, and it’s a community he is deeply and actively involved in. He volunteers at Circle of Hope, an organization that delivers supplies to homeless shelters in the Boston area and serves as a member of the Needham Exchange Club and as president of the Needham High School Boosters Club.
