John Marroni, Vice President of Residential Lending

Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp.

In 1995, John Marroni left his career as an engineer to seek more flexibility in his life and became a mortgage broker. He built his career as a broker in Boston from the ground up, and his business grew quickly. With his technical background, Marroni was amazed at how the mortgage industry had made financing a home so complicated, and he achieved rapid success by simplifying the process for others.

Today, as a vice president of residential lending at the Danvers branch of Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp., Marroni is a valued resource for clients, professionals and industry peers throughout the United States. His main goal is to continue simplifying the mortgage process, and he takes the time to understand his clients’ situations and goals so he can create streamlined plans to help them reach their objectives. “I’m here to help my clients first and foremost,” he says.

Marroni’s niches include complicated loans for first-time homebuyers and self-employed borrowers, as well as lending solutions for divorcing couples. He is also a Certified Divorce Lending Professional© who is adept at helping family law attorneys guide their divorcing clients in making informed decisions regarding their mortgage equity solutions.

On top of his accomplished career as a mortgage originator, Marroni has co-hosted a live radio program called “The Mortgage Forum” on WBNW and WESX and has appeared dozens of times as an expert guest on various financial podcasts and radio shows.

Looking to the future, Marroni hopes to continue developing honest relationships with real estate agents and divorce attorneys to expand his business, and he always makes sure to set aside some time to go spring skiing and walk his golden retriever, Oliver, along the beach.
