A 17-year real estate veteran who has focused the last 14 years on the residential real estate market surrounding Boston, John J. Dean Jr. is a Realtor and advisor who listens to his clients’ needs and then devises the best way to achieve their goals with a comprehensive plan. Dean excels in working with both buyers and sellers. He is particularly skilled in orchestrating relocations.
Dean started in real estate while running his marketing company. When a neighbor approached him to discuss how he would excel as a real estate professional, he realized the industry was a perfect match for his personality and skill set as real estate weaves together technology and people seamlessly.
After deciding to enter the real estate business, Dean familiarized himself with the centers and squares in the Boston area by touring homes, meeting key agents outside of his own office and acquainting himself with small businesses and local eateries. “Each week, my knowledge base exponentially increased as I learned the neighborhoods, home styles, and nuances of the market,” he says.
Dean has been recognized as a World Class Diamond Elite agent at his brokerage, Engel & Völkers. He’s also been awarded the Excellence in Client Service award from HomeSnap. He shares that one secret to his success is that he focuses his business on market specialization.
While Dean recognizes the importance of technology in his work, he says his personal style is a bit old-fashioned. “Many agents use a ‘tech-only’ approach to their business,” he says. “I feel tech is an enhancer, as real estate is a people business. You can utilize technology to enhance a relationship, but it cannot and will never replace the human factor.”
Dean adds, “When clients work with me, they get me 100 percent. I invest my heart and soul into my clients and provide the utmost service and experience.”
