Over the past year, senior loan officer Sammy Iliopoulos and his team at Guaranteed Rate have showed no signs of slowing down. As a Scotsman Guide Top 1% Originator and member of the Newton chapter of Business Network International, Iliopoulos remains steadfast in his commitment to excellence, honesty and reliability when working with clients.

Despite recent market fluctuations impacting other businesses, Iliopoulos notably ushered his team into a period of robust growth through the end of 2021. Recently included in Boston Common magazine’s “Power Players” feature, he also maintains a position in Guaranteed Rate’s elite Chairman’s Circle club.

According to Iliopoulos, adaptability is a key factor in his high performance within the industry. “Long-term, I’ve adapted to the changing market and digitalization of the mortgage industry,” he remarks. “Short-term, I adapt to situations or surprises that come up during the loan process, ensuring my clients get to closing.” 

Working in the service industry in his youth allowed Iliopoulos to thrive in a client-centered environment. He notes that these introductory jobs, which included caddying and restaurant work, “helped create the foundation for the customer service and respect” his clients have come to expect of him. With over 19 years of experience, Iliopoulos currently specializes in a diverse array of lending options such as jumbo loans, conventional loans, VA Loans, FHA loans and digital mortgages.

When not working with clients, Iliopoulos enjoys spending time with his family, learning about history and playing golf.
