Leading the No. 1 Century 21 team in the nation by transactions continues to be an exciting journey for Michelle Fermin. Head of The Fermin Group at Century 21 Northeast, Fermin became an agent to fill a void in the industry she noticed as a consumer.
“Twenty-four years ago, my mother wanted to buy her first home,” Fermin recalls. “We met with a couple of agents, and neither of them were willing to educate us in the process or take the time to explain our options.” The experience made her realize there was a need for educators in the market who were willing to take first-time buyers by the hand.
The Fermin Group assists buyers and sellers, from first-time to move-up to investing, in Essex, Middlesex, Suffolk, Rockingham and Worcester counties. Adding value to the client experience, each team member brings something different to the transaction table.
Agents Andres Castaneda and Patricia Valley go out of their way to find “off-market listings”; Zolgalys Sanchez helps locate the best options for first-time buyers; Franklin Guzman is an expert in REO and distressed sales; Kayla Mendoza has mastered condo purchases and the pros and cons of condo ownership; and Kennia Meja and Betty Camilo-Correa are experts in multifamily homes and investment properties.
Living up to the tagline “Our top priority is your bottom line,” Fermin and her team begin every client relationship with a one-on-one consultation to understand their needs and wants. They also use that time to educate them on the process and explain the impact market trends have on housing.
“We don’t settle for ‘just enough,’” Fermin says. “At the end of the day, we want our clients to say, ‘Wow. That is my Realtor for life.’”
