The vice president of origination at NewFed Mortgage, Bornstein specializes in conventional, FHA and VA loans, serving a referral-only client base with the assistance of his operations staff. “They’re the reason I’m so successful,” he says.

With 17 years of industry experience, Bornstein closes loans in record time, which bolsters his reputation as a loyal and trustworthy professional. “You treat people like family, and they refer you to everyone,” he says, adding that every day he comes to work feeling passionate about his work and driven to guide his clients in the right direction.

Ranking among the top originators in the Scotsman Guide’s 2019 edition, Bornstein closed 405 loans, placing him at No. 123. He also nabbed the No. 133 spot in dollar volume, securing $149,379,963 in funding. In 2020, he handled over $300 million in volume. Of his career, he says, “In the 17 years in this business, I have learned an awful lot and I have grown as a person. I am a happy man with no regrets, and I will continue to live my life treating people with respect and always try to make people laugh and smile.”

Outside of work, Bornstein loves being with his wife and two sons and coaches his children’s sports teams. “My family is everything to me,” he shares, “and when I can shut work down, I enjoy them all as much as possible.”
