When COVID-19 halted the economy, Joselin Malkhasian did not stop. She simply worked harder for the buyers and sellers she was representing. “It meant making sure I was doing whatever possible to close the transactions in process, help clients make a determination of when they wanted to list/buy, and more importantly, just being a human and listening ear,” says Malkhasian, a Realtor with Lamacchia Realty Inc.
By following the government’s recommendations and paying attention to trends in the Greater Boston marketplace that she serves, she was able to help navigate a successful path for her clients.
Based on units closed and sales volume, Malkhasian was named a top sales agent at Lamacchia Realty in January 2020 and has made Real Trends’ list of the top 50 Massachusetts real estate agents. Still, her biggest accomplishment this year has been successfully managing and supporting clients through the pandemic.
“I don’t look at selling real estate as just a business transaction, but one that is also emotional and often centered around a major life change,” Malkhasian says. “I am able to help separate the emotion to bring in logical decision-making, but I am also able to let my clients feel. I am often more of a friend than real estate agent, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
Based on her years of industry experience, Malkhasian knows a Realtor’s job is to take away clients’ stress of buying and selling properties. She never comes to them with problems, only multiple solutions from which to choose. She always bases the journey on achieving their goals.
In her free time, Malkhasian loves being with family. She recently lived out her childhood dream of participating with them in the TV show “Family Feud,” which aired in October 2020.
