In Shant Banosian’s opinion, one of the key components of the American Dream is purchasing a home.
“Buying a home is such a major milestone for people, whether it’s their first home, a vacation home or an investment property,” says Banosian, branch manager for Guaranteed Rate’s Waltham office. “It is fun to be along for the ride.”
The problem solving, sales, relationship building, finance and economics involved in the job have captivated Banosian’s interest for 17 years. “I can analyze a client’s qualifying factors and place them in a product that will best suit their needs,” he says. “I take the time upfront to understand my client’s goals, needs and motivation for each purchase or refinance.”
Banosian works closely with clients from the beginning of the process. “My ultimate goal is to have my clients start their home search prepared, confident, informed and empowered,” he says. “Once they find a home, we wow them with our service, which boils down to our execution, communication, efficiency and availability. It is amazing to be part of the homebuying process, from the first email to the preapproval all the way through to when a client has new keys in their hand.”
For the past four years, Banosian has been named the No. 1 loan officer at Guaranteed Rate. In 2018, he was named the No. 1 loan officer in Massachusetts by Scotsman Guide, ranked as the No. 1 loan originator in America by Mortgage Executive magazine, and awarded the title of Loan Officer of the Year by Boston Agent magazine.
During the past few years, Banosian’s branch has been one of the top fundraising teams nationwide for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. A father and husband, he strives to be a role model to his three daughters and an exceptional partner to his wife.
