Brian Driscoll
Senior Loan Officer
Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp.
Mortgage professionals go by many titles, but Brian Driscoll prefers one in particular: debt planner. “I love the strategy involved in creating an optimal mortgage plan for each client,” Driscoll says. “I put a lot of thought into how to maximize their net worth and make sure the loan is in harmony with their financial goals.”
With the support of his team, Driscoll serves the whole spectrum of homebuyers and owners. While he works with many high-net-worth clients, he also enjoys the rewards of helping first-time homebuyers and the challenge of taking on difficult cases. “I love purchase loans in particular because of the collaboration with my agent partners and the strategy involved in getting an offer accepted,” he says.
Education and preparation are the basics of Driscoll’s service. “I talk with my clients about credit, collateral and capacity so they understand the requirements we need to meet,” he says. “Everyone also receives a total cost analysis to help them compare and comprehend their options.”
Driscoll brings extensive qualifications to his role. He has 23 years of mortgage industry experience and has originated over half a billion dollars in home loans. At the age of 24, he was managing his first mortgage branch, and he founded his own mortgage company in 1998. With a broad background in finance, accounting and economics, he knows debt planning inside and out.
Driscoll’s favorite part of his job is the opportunity to interact with people: his borrowers, his real estate partners and, most of all, his family. “I work my butt off, but thanks to this job and our technology, I can be flexible with my schedule,” he says. “I get to be home for family dinners, coach my son Patrick’s basketball team and see all my daughter Lyla’s performances. It’s yet another reason why I love this job.”
