A New England native with 17 years of real estate experience in the Greater Boston area, Zachary Friedman is always one or two steps ahead of his competition. A vice president at Compass, Friedman represents buyers and sellers from all price points in and around Boston and in MetroWest. “I’ve learned everything through my experiences working in these many different neighborhoods and communities,” he says.

Getting his start by renting luxury vacation homes in Telluride, Colorado, in 2001, Friedman was quick to recognize that real estate was the only career for him. “I was driven by the fast-paced energy of the business and the ability to constantly be making new connections,” he explains.

Prior to joining Compass, Friedman worked with William Raveis Real Estate and Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty. Over the span of his career, he’s sold $95 million in condos, single-family homes and multifamily properties. In 2019, he was named among the best real estate agents by Boston magazine, and for the past two years he’s been included on Boston Agent magazine’s Who’s Who list.

An experienced negotiator, Friedman is as good-natured as he is business-savvy. “I’ve been told that I make the process enjoyable and low-stress,” he says, adding that he aims to establish professional and personal relationships built on honesty and trust. “I want the experience to be fun without sacrificing efficiency and professionalism.”

Starting every transaction off by walking his clients through the entire process, Friedman provides his buyers and sellers with an opportunity to ask questions and set clear expectations.

A member of the National Association of Realtors, Friedman has an extensive network and a referral-based clientele. When he’s not working, he loves to run, ski, mountain bike and hike, as well as spend time with his family.
