Nick Aalerud, principal broker and business coach at AA Premier Properties LLC, is devoted to training his investors and his sales team to become top producers and committed agents. “I’m a big believer in routines and time management,” he explains. “I spend a lot of my time coaching students and our agents on how to structure their time in order to maximize their productivity, and for consistency in routine execution.”

Focusing on properties in Greater Boston and North Shore along with those in Middlesex and Essex Counties, Aalerud, a CDPE and Preforeclosure Expert, brings contacts, expertise and creativity to the table. With an in-house debt settlement firm, Aalerud and his team are able to assist their sellers with negotiating their debts in the event of a short sale, loan modification or foreclosure litigation.

With 13 years of experience, Aalerud succeeds where others have failed, forming relationships with sellers and navigating them through the transaction with patience and complete transparency. “I don’t need to close at every meeting.  I want that seller to remember my name, and my firm for being the one that actually gave them the best advice, who actually listened to their needs and took a holistic approach,” he says.

This year, Aalerud’s brokerage doubled in size. “As we do not actively recruit, our growth is a result of word of mouth only.  My success is a direct result of my agents’ success. I’m so proud of them.”

Along with his partner Maryann Little, Aalerud wrote the continuing education courses on short sales and teaches for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE). He serves on the board for AAwesomeKids.org. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, finding the latest hole-in-the-wall food joint, and spending time with his two kids.
