“I founded my own company so I could help low- to moderate-income families fulfill their American dream of homeownership,” he says. Prior to becoming a full-time broker, he was the executive director of a nonprofit and promoted first-time homebuying programs and affordable housing developments. Yem educates new buyers on down payment assistance through his volunteer work at the Merrimack Valley Housing Partnership and provides valuation services to banks to determine the value of the property before foreclosure.

Yem is a HUD-approved selling broker, RES.NET & EQUATOR REO certified, a Certified Distressed Property Expert and a Certified Buyer’s Representative, while his firm is a certified Minority Business Enterprise and a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise. He’s an active member of NAR, the Asian Real Estate Association of America, the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, the Massachusetts Association of Realtors and the National Association of Broker Price Opinion Professionals.

Yem is heavily involved in local government, registering community members to vote and running for office, including Massachusetts State Representative for 18 Middlesex and Lowell City Council to promote affordable housing and health care. “I grew up in a family that believes in giving back to the community we live in and making the world a better place for those who are less fortunate than ourselves.”
