Shant Banosian

Branch Manager
Guaranteed Rate

Loan Officer Shant Banosian has held the title of No. 1 Loan Originator in Massachusetts for the past three years, has a Warren Group Banker Tradesman ranking and has been one of Mortgage Professional America’s Young Guns for the past three years running. He has also been listed as one of the Top 5 Loan Originators in the country in the Scotsman Guide and was named the No. 3 Loan Originator in the Country by Mortgage Executive Magazine. An avid sports fan, Banosian tackles the challenges he faces as branch manager of Guaranteed Rate, Waltham, Mass., in the same way he managed the wins and losses he faced during his football career at Bentley University: with determination. “All of the hard work, preparation, mindset and action have created a priceless foundation for me in life and in the mortgage industry,” he says.

This Bentley University grad has 15 years of experience under his belt, staying active in the industry by holding memberships with the Greater Boston Association of Realtors, Business Network International (BNI), Cambridge Community of Realtors, Asian Association of Real Estate in America (AREAA) and The Armenian Business Network. Though he is enthralled by his work, Banosian’s inspiration comes from his wife and two daughters. “I want to provide a wonderful family life and be a role model for my kids.”

Helping clients actualize their dreams of homeownership is what attracted Banosian to a career in the real estate industry. He prides himself on his ability to analyze a client’s qualifications and provide them with a loan product that best suits their needs. In order for him to achieve this, communication plays a key role for him and his service-oriented team to proactively keep their clients and agents informed during every step of the financing process. “I take the time up front to learn about and understand my client’s motivations and goals for each purchase or refinance,” says Banosian. This work ethic, he says, has gained him and his team the solid reputation of executing smooth transactions, hitting deadlines and closing on time.

The concept of teamwork has always been ingrained in Banosian as he and his colleagues also work hard outside of the office to give back to various communities in the Greater Boston Area. This past April, he and his colleagues raised more than $65,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “It is important for me to not only donate money, but also time to these great charities,” he says.
