Bushari Real Estate
Boasting 15 years’ experience in real estate, with a master’s degree in real estate from Bentley University, Bushari agent Josh Drawas is about as knowledgeable as they come. It’s the reason for much of his success. But he also credits his inherent abilities for forming trusting, mutually fulfilling relationships. “This isn’t something you can learn from any amount of coursework or professional development,” Drawas says. “I pride myself on my abilities to connect with clients on a much more personal level, as well as recognizing and aligning my resources to fit their specific needs.” Consider his many successes as evidence.
Drawas works with all sorts of clients, including homebuyers, renters and investors, but he specializes in helping renters who are moving into homeownership. Much of his more recent work has involved helping first-time homebuyers and recent renters transition into homeownership. He takes particular satisfaction in the fact that many clients he’s helped find a rental apartment in the past have returned to him when they’re ready to take the next step and buy, saying, “Renters become buyers, who become investors, sellers and referrals. If I see clients returning to me multiple times over for various needs, I know we’ve built the relationship where they trust and rely on me as a resource in the industry.”
How do you get to this sort of relationship? “The bottom line is this is a customer service industry,” Drawas says. He strives to be approachable, warm and prompt with everyone he interacts with, whether they are a new prospective client or someone with whom he’s had years of successful dealings. “I get a lot of inspiration from remaining in my clients’ lives and watching their lives expand,” he says. “Clients’ needs continually change. It’s just fun to witness that evolution and to be a small part in that.”
Of course, a large part of Drawas’ success comes from being able to back up his people skills with his aforementioned industry knowledge and market savvy. Especially in a market as competitive as Boston’s, he knows it’s incredibly important to have a finger on the city’s pulse at all times. “My responsibility is to stay consistently up to speed with changes and updates in market conditions and continue to find creative measures that allow my clients a leg up over other people in their position,” he says.
Outside of real estate, Drawas is passionate about traveling, and has been all over the globe, including Western Europe, Australia, Central America and the Caribbean. He also loves to stay active and spend time outdoors—especially activities that include his beloved Labrador retriever, Riley.
