Ruby Santos-Baranowski, Senior Mortgage Consultant
Randell Reska, Loan Officer Assistant
Wintrust Mortgage
With a combined 26 years of experience, Ruby Santos-Baranowski and Randell Reska have used their expertise to help countless clients achieve their dreams of homeownership. Santos-Baranowski has excelled, making the top 10 in volume and units at every company she’s worked, including her current company, Wintrust Mortgage, where she is a senior mortgage consultant.
Santos-Baranowski began her career after earning a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Maine in Orono, which has served as the foundation for her work in the real estate industry.
During her now 15-year career, Santos-Baranowski has worked with a wide range of clients, from first-time homebuyers to investors. Her educational background and continuous real estate training have helped her excel, she says, but added that she and Reska, a loan officer assistant, also prize honesty in their interactions with clients. “The homebuying process is more detailed than ever,” Santos-Baranowski says. “It can also be a stressful and emotional process. That is why my team and I are very proactive. We ask for everything up front so we can analyze our client’s financial situation and come up with the best recommendation or solution.”
With how layered the mortgage qualification process has become, Santos-Baranowski works diligently and efficiently to help clients get a step ahead. She reviews all details prior to issuing a pre-approval letter to ensure that clients meet the requirements so the loan can be closed on time. She adds that this attention to every aspect of the loan is why real estate agents and financial advisors trust in their ability to handle their clients’ mortgage needs. Reska also has a meticulous eye, having worked with real estate attorneys to draft HUD-1 Settlement Statements, issue final title policies, prepare mortgage loans and sell real estate. Santos-Baranowski believes her and Reska’s passion for helping people makes them stand out in the industry. “My peers and the real estate agents could see how we truly care about every client by passing along the knowledge that my team and I have in mortgage origination.”
Santos-Baranowski’s value of the Golden Rule extends to her life as a volunteer. She volunteers her time with the Dedham Food Pantry, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Habitat for Humanity and local school events. She also helps out with fundraising drives for several local organizations, including Dedham Civic Pride and St. Catherine of Sienna. When she has free time, she enjoys watching the New England Patriots with her friends and family. She admires the leadership of head coach Bill Belichick and his players’ ability to sacrifice individual glory for the good of the team.
