What was your most interesting job before going into real estate? Tourism promotion … targeting European travel companies and press (newspapers, magazines, etc) to book their clients and write about New England as a destination.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Yoga, walking
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Martha Stewart. She set the bar for success and changed things in a white male dominated world.
What is Boston’s best-kept secret? The harbor islands
What do you love most about the industry? I love my client relationships. I have many repeat customers where I’ve helped them achieve two to three different real estate properties over my career and watched them grow their families. It’s a very personalized service I provide.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I am very honest and direct. I have decades of experience but my most valuable asset is my honesty.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Lack of control. You never know what will be presented day to day. It’s hard to plan!
What’s your best advice for generating new leads? Keeping in touch with my clients. Talking to folks and community involvement.
What has been your greatest accomplishment? Raising my daughter.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately? Mel Robbins’ the “Let Them Theory.”
What’s your favorite meal in Boston? Surf and turf…filet mignon and lobster tail
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Boston? Rowes Wharf
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job? Qualifying and vetting buyers who turn out to be not who they say they are. Last year I had an “Anna Devlin” who talked a good game, could produce letters of intro from attorneys and lenders but couldn’t show the cash. Eventually she went MIA when pushed to show the cash. Just weird!
What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you? I love restoring and renovating antique homes. I have done a few. I recently GC’d my own 1850 home.
What is your favorite vacation spot and why? Truro. It’s peaceful, beautiful and serene. I’m a Cape Codder and love boating in the bay.
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Work Sundays! Hustle and give it 24/7 for five years to build a book.
