When graduating from Bentley University in 2005, Jason Evans of Guaranteed Rate thought a career as a mortgage loan officer in the fast-paced real estate industry would be a good fit for him. Having played competitive sports from childhood through his time at Bentley, Evans was looking for a job that would satisfy his competitive nature and relentless desire to continue to improve. Seventeen years later, he’s confident he made the right choice.
Ranking among the Scotsman Guide’s top loan originators since 2010, Evans also has been named a top loan officer by Hometown Weekly every year since 2017. In addition to these, he’s earned Guaranteed Rate’s President Club and Chairman’s Circle designations each year he has worked for the company.
2021 marked a third consecutive record year for Evans, as he funded over $309 million in closed loan volume, with 714 closings for the year. He is most proud of the 37% increase in purchase volume, which he attributes to the speed and efficiency at which his team closes loans, helping to attract new referral partners. “Being able to close loans in two weeks gives our real estate agent partners a huge tool to use when making offers in this competitive seller’s market,” he says. “Our fast-closing timeline really helps our clients’ offers stand out and has been the deciding factor in getting offers accepted.”
In 2022, Evans plans to continue growing his team and leveraging Guaranteed Rate’s advances in technology to cut more time off their already fast process — in what he expects will continue to be a competitive housing market for homebuyers.
Evans likes supporting charities and community organizations in his hometown of Foxboro. In his free time, he enjoys volunteer coaching at local youth sports programs.
