CBRE arranged the sale of Twenty20, a luxury high-rise apartment tower in the Cambridge Crossing development area.
CBRE’s Simon Butler, Biria St. John, John McLaughlin and Brian Bowler oversaw the sale to Mesirow Institutional Real Estate Direct, a Chicago-based real estate investment company.
Built in 2015 as part of the Cambridge Crossing mixed-use district, Twenty20 features 355 apartments in a 20-floor tower. CBRE referred to the building as a “trophy high-rise” in a press release.
Luxury amenities at the project include a rooftop terrace, fitness center and yoga sundeck, pet grooming and bath station, full-time concierge, club room, library, bike garage and private parking spaces.
“We are pleased to invest in Twenty20, a well-located community in Cambridge, in the heart of Boston and one of the country’s most dynamic innovation corridors,” said Mesirow CEO and CIO Alasdair Cripps. “Its strong fundamentals, proximity to leading educational and medical institutions and excellent connectivity make it an ideal fit for our value-add platform.”
CBRE’s Simon Butler said, “We are pleased to have represented the seller in the sale of Twenty20, an asset they developed in partnership with the original developer in 2015. The asset offers Mesirow an opportunity to execute their value-add program in one of the most dynamic employment markets in the country.”
