Massachusetts has been named one of the happiest states in America by HubScore.
HubScore compared all 50 states across four categories: economic well-being, family and social connections, physical and mental well-being and environmental and societal wellness. States were also compared across 30 additional metrics within all the categories.
The Bay State broke the top 20 on this year’s list, ranking No. 17 with a Happiness Index Score of 66.9.
It also broke the top 10 in environmental and societal wellness coming in at No. 7, as well as ranking 14th for family and social connections, 20th for physical and mental well-being and No. 21 in the economic well-being category.
New Hampshire ranked No. 2 with a Happiness Index Score of 72.3 behind No. 1 North Dakota with a score of 73.2
