The Massachusetts Association of Realtors has new leadership for 2022. MAR CEO Theresa Hatton announced the installation of officers earlier this month.

“We’re proud to usher in our 2022 officers, whose proven track record of achievements and leadership on the local, statewide and national levels underscores their capability to lead our organization through the demands and challenges wrought by this pandemic,” said Hatton.

Dawn (Henry) Ruffini is the 2022 president. A Realtor and owner with RE/MAX Connections in Wilbraham, Ruffin was previously the treasurer for two years. She served as MAR western regional vice president in 2016 and 2017. She’s been a member of the professional standards, leadership development and finance committees and has served on the board of directors since 2015. Locally, Ruffini served as president of the Realtor Association of Pioneer Valley in 2015 and was Realtor of the Year in 2014. She’s also held several positions at the national level.

Marie Presti is this year’s treasurer. A Realtor, Presti is also the owner of The Presti Group. She was the chair of the finance committee and will serve on the investment and executive committees. A member of MAR’s 2020 board of directors, she has served as president, president-elect and treasurer of the Greater Boston Association of Realtors. Presti is a past GBAR Realtor of the Year recipient and has also received the GBAR’s spirit award.

David McCarthy is the 2023 president-elect. McCarthy is a Realtor representing Keller Williams in Boston’s Back Bay, Beacon Hill and South End neighborhoods, as well as Brookline, Framingham and Newton. An active member of the association for more than two decades, McCarthy has been a member of the GBAR board of directors for seven years, as well as a director of MAR. He’s currently on the National Association of Realtors’ board of directors. McCarthy has also served as MAR’s director-at-large and as a Massachusetts RPAC Trustee. He was president of GBAR in 2015 and was the 2021 MAR Realtor of the Year. In 2018, he was inducted into the RPAC Hall of Fame for his years of support of NAR’s political advocacy efforts.

Steve Medeiros is the immediate past president. An associate broker at Keller Williams Realty in Dartmouth, before serving as president, he was the 2018-2019 southeastern regional representative, a member of MAR’s board of directors and government affairs committee since 2015. He was also the MAR government affairs committee chairperson in 2017 and served on MAR’s executive, finance and leadership development committees in 2019. He was president of the Realtor Association of Southeastern Massachusetts in 2017 and was named Realtor of the Year by his local association in 2014 and 2017.
