This Week in Boston Real Estate: Luxury development EchelonSeaport adds space, amenities

Luxury three-tower residential development EchelonSeaport in Boston’s bustling Seaport District — which includes 717 residential units, 447 being luxury condominiums for sale — will be adding 50,000 square feet in lobbies and amenities at its location, 133 and 135 Seaport Boulevard. Jeffrey Beers, the firm developer at Cottonwood Management, will design the space, his first residential contract in Boston.

The space is set to include two outdoor pool terraces, fitness facilities that include indoor basketball courts, an indoor relaxation pool, a golf simulator, a library, and lounges in each tower.

  • Juniper Square raised $6 million in a Series A funding round led by Felicis Venture to support its investment management platform released in 2017. Founded in 2014, the San Fransisco startup company offers software that helps real estate firms manage and raise outside capital. The funding from Felicis Venture, which also backs Opendoor and Matterport, brings Juniper Square’s total funding up to $8 million, adding to $2 million in seed funding. The startup now serves clients managing 50,000 investors and almost $200 billion in real estate assets. According to a press release, Juniper Square hopes its software will replace Excel as used by investment firms.
