Clients always come first. This is the golden rule that Kim Mello has followed ever since she became a loan officer over 20 years ago. Over the years, she has helped countless families with their financial goals and needs. With repeat borrowers and referrals always emailing and calling, she’s built a loyal network that knows they can rely on her for first-class mortgage service. No matter how busy she is, Mello always makes the time to respond to her clients and partners right away when they need assistance.
Mello is a nationally recognized mortgage professional and a vice president of residential lending at the Danvers branch of Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp. Industry publications Scotsman Guide and Mortgage Executive Magazine have ranked her among the top mortgage originators in the nation by annual loan volume. In 2021, she closed over $46 million in loans for the year, easily qualifying for the company’s President’s Club for top-performing loan officers.
“My biggest motivator is the opportunity to help families to find and finance their forever homes,” Mello says. She works with clients of all types, including first-time homebuyers, move-up buyers and refinancers. Mello says she is committed to being a loan officer for life to every client, serving them from preapproval to closing and beyond.
When Mello isn’t working, she’s enjoying life in Nahant. She owns a home on the water where she raised her two sons who are now in their 20s. She is also a proud supporter of Boston’s Wounded Vet Run, an organization that funds housing modifications and addresses other needs to improve the quality of life of disabled veterans.
In the years ahead, Mello plans to continue growing her network and helping many more families with their home financing. “I’m excited to keep building and working with my team to provide the great service and programs my clients deserve,” she says.
