Fascinated by the lending process upon buying her first home, Jane Qian realized she wanted to transition into mortgage lending. She studied law in China — earning a master’s degree — and practiced in Singapore before immigrating to the United States. Qian continued her graduate studies with a master’s degree in computer science and was working in the field when she decided to take a part-time job in real estate finance. Part-time led to full-time, and she’s been excelling in mortgage lending ever since.
Specializing in conventional and jumbo loans, Qian is known for her professionalism, humble nature and ability to communicate across multiple demographics. Fluent in Chinese and English, she frequently assists first-generation Chinese immigrants with their financing needs, as well as clients whose native language is English. She receives many referrals through word-of-mouth and has been called a “hero” by clients for simplifying the lending process while providing them with the best possible loan rates.
Ranking in the top 1% of loan originators since 2016, Qian is proud to have closed nearly $140 million in lending transactions in 2021. Through both Guaranteed Rate and her previous company of employment, she was named a member of the President’s Club, Diamond Circle and the Chairman’s Circle.
Considering herself a true Bostonian, Qian enjoys watching professional sports during her time off. “Go Pats and Celtics!” she declares. An active member in her church and a Sunday school teacher, she considers Philippians 2:3-4 NIV her favorite Bible verse — “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”
