A glass-half-full mentality has driven Stephen J. Bremis to expand his brand during the pandemic.

“You could say the pandemic of 2020 brought us to new heights,” says Bremis, founder and president of Steve Bremis Realty Group (SBRG). “I expanded my reach with a new global division, SBRG International, securing the U.S. marketing rights to 70 units in Austurhofn, a landmark development in Reykjavik, Iceland. It’s an accomplishment that has never been attained before by a real estate firm outside of the country.”

With 39 years of industry experience, Bremis has ranked among the top 10 Best of the Best Real Estate Agents in Somerville for four consecutive years, and his company has been voted Best of the Best for the past two. Although Bremis works with buyers and sellers of all property types, he concentrates on luxury home sales and development and provides all of the services necessary to make a transaction successful: branding, marketing, consulting and acquisition.
The entrepreneurial spirit runs in his family, as Bremis’ father opened his own real estate office in Somerville 65 years ago. “I’m proud to keep the fires burning,” Bremis says.

Just two years after founding SBRG, he has brought more than 20 agents on board and made sure that all of them became certified. Leading by example, Bremis is a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, Certified Real Estate Specialist, Accredited Buyer’s Representative, Senior Real Estate Specialist, Accredited Staging Professional and Green Designation holder. He is also a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Million Dollar Guild, as well as co-founder and chair of the Somerville Property Owners Coalition, which advocates for the rights of small-property owners.

Outside of work, Bremis enjoys traveling, weight training and spending time with family and friends.
