A musician by trade, Jason Bonarrigo always wanted to work in the banking industry like his grandfather, who inspired him to take an internship in the mortgage department of a large bank while he was in college. He started out learning the lending side of the business, working in processing and underwriting, and soon realized it was the perfect career for him.

“I learned a lot on the job by doing a bunch of different tasks,” says Bonarrigo, a branch manager and loan officer at Residential Mortgage Services. “I also cannot forget to thank all of the amazing people who have helped me along the way and taught me what they know.”

Working with an ever-changing demographic of clients, Bonarrigo says he currently assists move-up and luxury buyers. “We do a lot of condominium lending, being in Boston and the surrounding areas,” he says. “We really know the Boston market, which makes Realtors and developers comfortable when they see my name and the loan officers on my team.”

Taking a consultative approach with clients, Bonarrigo listens carefully in order to determine their short-term and long-term goals and find a mortgage solution to help them reach those milestones. “I really enjoy that every day and every client is different,” he says. “That makes it fun and really keeps you on your toes.”
Proud of the team they have built in the Boston office, Bonarrigo has been serving his clients to the best of his abilities for over 20 years. “My children inspire me to work hard and be the best man I can be for them, so they can grow up and do the same for their family,” he says. In honor of his daughter, who has type 1 diabetes, Bonarrigo volunteers with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Jimmy Fund.
