Janis Lippman & Ellen Grubert
Senior Vice Presidents, Compass
Ellen Grubert, Janis Lippman and their team are the trusted advisers for buyers, sellers and real estate developers in Jamaica Plain, Roslindale, West Roxbury and throughout the Greater Boston area. Accredited Buyer’s Representatives and Realtors, Grubert and Lippman have lived and worked in the Boston area for more than 36 years, developing a deep understanding of the city’s neighborhoods.
Grubert and Lippman have more than 18 years of experience in real estate, and their collaborative spirit, forward-looking approach and commitment to excellence have helped them earn rave reviews from clients and develop a strong referral business. In 2018, Grubert and Lippman were recognized by the National Association of Gay & Lesbian Real Estate Professionals and Real Trends as one of the top-producing LGBT teams in the country.
Today, their team is the exclusive marketing agent for 45 On Burnett, a 44-unit condo development near Jamaica Plain’s Forest Hills station. “We began sales last year and were 50 percent sold prior to the opening of our model unit,” they say. “It was a true team effort, with fabulous support from our brokerage, Compass.”
In the fast-paced Boston market, staying connected with clients via the Compass app has proved to be invaluable to their business. Compass’ other programs have also been instrumental to Grubert and Lippman’s success.
A second career for both women, real estate is a natural extension of Grubert’s experience in sales and Lippman’s work in theater management. Partners in business and life, they cannot imagine doing anything else. “Our personal and professional partnership allows us to play to our individual strengths — negotiations, marketing and business operations,” they say.
Grubert and Lippman’s community support and fundraising efforts are focused on Keshet, Community Servings, The Home for Little Wanderers and the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition. When they’re not working, they like to spend time with friends and family, travel, or simply relax at their home in Provincetown, Massachusetts. To keep fit, the pair bike, run, practice yoga, and walk their dog, Freida, around Jamaica Pond.
