Drew Grandi has seen all sides of the mortgage banking process, and regardless of whether he’s managing his team of loan officers or helping clients with their home financing, he’s excited to get to work. With 15 years of real estate experience, Grandi is well-equipped for his position as Regional Market Leader at Wintrust Mortgage, where he and his team focus on originating loans for properties in New England, New York and the Mid-Atlantic region.

“Without a doubt, one of the keys to my success has been to utilize and build upon my previous experiences that I acquired by starting a mortgage lending company from scratch and growing this company to more than 220 employees and 17 offices,” he says. “I have literally worn every hat – sales, secondary, operations, IT, HR and more – so the sum of these experiences has provided me with a wealth of knowledge.”

The majority of Grandi’s clients are from referrals, a testament to his track record as a mortgage professional. He explains that along with his extensive knowledge of the industry, his clients also appreciate his unwavering commitment to fulfilling their needs and his proactive nature when communicating during the duration of the transaction up until when the closing is finalized.

As a team leader, Grandi has guided his team through its third consecutive year in the New England market, staying focused on creating an environment that fosters self-improvement as well as increased loan production and the best customer service.

“Over the past year, the Boston mortgage banking market was hit with the double whammy of interest rates increasing after the election and the purchase market being handicapped by the lack of housing inventory,” he explains, adding that with fewer deals, the environment became more competitive among agents and mortgage professionals. “While rates are always important, I was successful in instilling in my team that quality customer service will always rise to the top. As a result, I demanded relentless attention to our clients and real estate partners to ensure that my team continued to grow their business.”

Grandi is a member of the Massachusetts Mortgage Bankers Association, the Greater Boston Association of Realtors and the Realtor Association of Central Massachusetts. He is also an active supporter of Habitat for Humanity.
