Mike Procopio, The Procopio Companies’ CEO, has been named to Building Design + Construction’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2022, a national award recognizing rising stars of their generation.
Those selected are recognized by the publication’s editors for their career achievements, passion for the AEC profession, involvement with AEC industry organizations, and service to their communities. They include architects, engineers, contractors and real estate developers.
“I’m honored to be included with this class of distinguished professionals from across the nation,” said Procopio. “The firm has spent the last few years navigating a period of significant
growth, and this recognition is also a testament to the innovation and leadership of the entire Procopio team as we have transformed into the full-service firm we are today.”
Procopio started his career with the Procopio Companies, working as a salesman alongside his grandfather before joining the firm in a full-time capacity in 2003. Under his leadership the company went from a small, local single-family home builder into a “full-service, regional real estate development firm, focusing on multifamily rental and for-sale projects,” according to a company press release.
Three other Bostonians were also honored in the 40 Under 40 Class of 2022.
