Greater Boston Real Estate Board hires ‘clear-cut favorite’ Jackie McCarthy

by Elizabeth Kanzeg Rowland

The Greater Boston Real Estate Board announced that Jackie McCarthy will serve as the association’s director of government affairs.

“Jackie’s deep experience and knowledge made her the clear-cut favorite as the board’s new director of government affairs,” said Greg Vasil, GBREB CEO. “Members of the real estate community can rest easy knowing that Jackie will fight tirelessly for them at the state house and in city halls across Greater Boston.”

McCarthy began her new role at Boston’s largest real estate association in June. She formerly worked as director of regulatory affairs for the national telecommunications firm JSI Inc. and holds a juris doctorate from the Emory University School of Law.

“Between the need to build more housing and the challenge of addressing record-high office vacancy rates, members of the real estate industry need a clear, strong voice representing them on Beacon Hill,” said McCarthy in a press release. “I look forward to meeting Realtors®, owners and brokers across the dozens of Greater Boston communities we serve and helping make their voices heard at the state and local level.”
