Coldwell Banker Realty New England mourns death of agent Brian Long

by Liz Hughes

Coldwell Banker Realty New England is mourning the loss of Brian Long, 51, following a life-long battle with Cystic Fibrosis.

Affiliated with Coldwell Banker’s Cambridge office, Long was a member of The Team – Real Estate Advisors

“We at Coldwell Banker Realty in the Cambridge office are saddened by the passing of longtime agent and friend Brian Long,” Coldwell Banker Realty said in a statement. “A member of The Team – Real Estate Advisors, Long belonged to an iconic Boston real estate family and held a true joy and passion for this business for more than 25 years.

“Long endeavored to help others via his involvement in research studies and clinical trials to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation — even serving as the organization’s poster child in the 1980s. We will all deeply miss his larger-than-life energy and even quicker wit.

“Those who worked closely with Long will gather for a celebration of life in the Cambridge office later this month. More details forthcoming. Until then please keep his family, husband and longtime best friend Ed Feijo, friends, and team members in your thoughts.”

Coldwell Banker New England is inviting those in the real estate community, regardless of company affiliation, to join them for a celebration of life event remembering Brian Long on Tuesday, June 27, from 5-7 p.m. at Coldwell Banker Realty, 1000 Massachusetts Ave., Suite 134, Cambridge.

Coldwell Banker is also creating a foundation in Long’s name to support Cystic Fibrosis research.
