Boston real estate agents, teams make RealTrends’ 2023 ‘The Thousand’ rankings

The 2023 RealTrends + Tom Ferry “The Thousand” rankings of the nation’s top-performing real estate agents and teams were just released, and several Boston-area agents and teams made the cut.

The list recognizes the top 0.065% of more than 1.6 million licensed Realtors across the country based on 2022 data. Some key findings from this year’s results, which are based on 2022 sales, include:

  • Top individual agents averaged 212 transaction sides and $226 million in sales volume, down from 241.2 sides and $253.8 million the year before.
  • Most individuals named to The Thousand — 67% — are associated with a well-known national or regional brand. The average sales volume for individuals was $1.1 million.
  • Teams averaged 564 transaction sides and $445 million in sales volume, up from 430 sides and $257.5 million in volume the previous year.
  •  68% of teams on the list were associated with a well-known regional or national-branded brokerage firm. Teams had an average sales volume of $622,632.
