The Procopio Companies has been honored for its Caldwell project in downtown Lynn.
The company earned the 2021 silver level NAHB Best in American Living award for Green Community for the project at the annual National Association of Home Builders conference and award ceremony.
The award honors the most innovative and outstanding projects of the year.
Located at the former Spinny & Caldwell shoe factory site at 34 Munroe St. in historic Lynn, the Caldwell includes a mix of 259 residential units and a first-floor retail space. The property also received one of the 2021 ENR New England Best Regional Projects for Mixed Use awards. It is also the first LEED Platinum-certified building in Lynn and the largest LEED Platinum-Certified multifamily building in New England.
“Earning recognition from the NAHB is an honor, as it allows for further validation of the thought and countless hours we put into this project,” said Michael Procopio, CEO of The Procopio Companies, in a press release. “The Best in American Living Award is a celebration of all of the hard work put in by the team and project partners and a reminder to keep striving for even greater innovation and sustainability in future projects.“
Procopio sold Caldwell to The Green Cities Company at the end of 2021.
