Former Boston Celtic Daniel Theis’ Boston home sells for $2.2 million

by Liz Hughes

NBA champion and former Boston Celtic Daniel Theis has sold his Needham home for $2,216,500 as he heads to Houston.

Theis, who also played for the Chicago Bulls, and most recently the Houston Rockets, sold his 44 Parkvale Road home, originally purchased in January 2020 for $1.8 million. Theis recently signed a four-year, $26 million deal with the Rockets, which led him to sell his home in the Needham suburb.

The custom-built colonial features high ceilings, hardwood floors, a gourmet chef’s kitchen, butler’s pantry and large family room, as well as a first-floor bonus room with ensuite bath, a second-floor master suite, three additional bedrooms and, of course, a half-court, backyard basketball court.

The listing agent for the property was George Sarkis of Douglas Elliman, who also represented Theis as his buyers agent when he originally purchased the property.
