6 new residential developments rising in Boston area

Boulevard.

  1. Boulevard. From developer New Boston Ventures, Boulevard, on the Rose Kennedy Greenway in downtown Boston, was topped off on Feb. 13. The 36-unit condo development is set to be delivered in August. Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh was in attendance of the topping-off ceremony for the development, which is the first residential building on the greenway.
  2. Boston East. Located on 126 Border St, Boston East lies at the edge of the spacious Boston Harbor. This building, developed by Trinity Management LLC, offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, in addition to studios, all of varying prices. Building amenities include a community art gallery, courtyard with fire pit, modernized fitness center and pet spa. In addition, its harbor location grants such outdoor luxuries like kayaking and direct access to the Harborwalk.
  3. Penniman on the Park. This Allston condominium building is currently being developed by Brad Spencer and Jumbo Capital Management at 20 Penniman Road. It is near locations like the Allston Village and Boston University. Penniman on the Park will have 36 condo units, as well as a garage parking and elevator, with prices starting around $500,000. The building is expected to reach completion later this year.
  4. Cambridge Crossing. A 45-acre community at 20 Child St. in East Cambridge, Cambridge Crossing from developer DivcoWest caters to the technology- and science-centric community due to its proximity to MIT and Harvard. Residents of the 2,400 residential units will have access to a unique amenity: lab space. There also will be 100,000 square feet for retail possibilities.
  5. The Beverly. Located at 101 Beverly St. and developed by Related Beal, The Beverly is situated at the heart of Boston. The building features studios, one, two and three-bedroom apartments. Top-floor amenities include a fitness center, party room, kidss room and outdoor terrace and grill. Residents also will have easy access to a number of nearby dining options, transit stations and parks.
  6. Lantera. The Boston Landing residential team recently announced the name of its latest tower: Lantera, a 17-story, 295-unit luxury apartment high rise near the New Balance global headquarters. The development offers a mixture of studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom units, including 38 affordable units. Some building amenities include pet-friendly area with indoor/outdoor dog park and pet spa, outdoor pool deck with cabanas, and an open gathering space with fireplace lounge, demonstration kitchen, bar and gaming area called The Veranda. It will be open for residency in May.
