Boston is one of the hottest housing markets in America, according to a new ranking by realtor.com. Coming in at No. 11 of 20 markets, Boston’s median list price is $440,900, while its days on market is 42.

For its analysis, realtor.com Chief Economist Jonathan Smoke analyzed housing data for the first three weeks of April, and ranked metro areas where time on market is low and demand is high; such markets, Smoke stipulated, see two to three times more views per listing on realtor.com than the national average, and inventory sells 17 to 45 days faster.
