Although the market was low in 2023, Mary Harper saw it as an opportunity to reset, get back to basics and continue being the best version of herself. In the industry for 40 years, Harper is an originating manager with Guaranteed Rate Affinity, having recently acquired a team of loan officers whom she mentors into growing their business. “I enjoy sharing mortgage tools and products with my clients and different real estate agents, but now I can help fellow loan officers become more successful in the industry,” she says. “Knowledge is power. Everyone should continuously be learning no matter how long they have been in this business.”
Achieving President’s Club status for another year, Harper received the Guaranteed Rate Affinity Customer Service Award. A member of the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce and North Shore Women Connect, she volunteers with Baby’s First Christmas in Lynn and supports Beverly Bootstraps and Lifebridge North Shore. Recognized for being patient and professional with a personal touch, she has her own team that assists her with marketing, sourcing business and processing files. “I could not achieve the success I have without my amazing team,” she insists. “We work hard to make the process as stress-free as possible.”
Crediting her success to her extensive knowledge of the mortgage business, from origination to the closing, Harper offers clients guidance and advice on the best options available to meet their financial goals. “I truly care and take full responsibility for each and every loan,” she says. “Guaranteed Rate Affinity has world-class technology, extensive products and a team behind them that allows for speed and consistency, which is rare in this industry.” She credits this to her success and the lasting relationships she has formed with her referral partners and clients. “I am grateful for the business they refer to me and that they trust me completely; it is a responsibility I take very seriously.”
Harper is a longtime resident of Marblehead, where she lives with her husband and raised her two children. In her downtime, Harper enjoys traveling, volunteering and spending time with family and friends.
