Known for making complicated things look easy, Jane Qian has been a member of the Boston mortgage industry for nearly 20 years. She’s known for great knowledgeable of mortgage programs, terrific service and some of the best rates in town. Always there when clients or agents reach out to her, she considers putting clients first to be of the highest importance.
Qian studied law while in college and graduate school in China, and then worked as a legal consultant while living in Singapore for four years. After immigrating to the U.S., she earned her master’s in computer science and a paralegal certificate, as well as spending several years working in a nonprofit organization doing database management and online website support. “I started working in the mortgage industry as a side job,” she recalls. “I really found what I love to do and became a full-time loan officer since 2010.
Qian’s clients laud her professionalism, honesty and directness. “I treat everyone with kindness and respect,” she says. “One of my favorites [Bible] verses is, ‘Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.’ – Philippians 2:3.”
Despite 2023’s being the most challenging year of Qian’s career due to the sharp rise in interest rates and low housing inventory, she maintained her place in Guaranteed Rate’s President’s Club as one of the top 1% of all originators in the country. As the mortgage and real estate industries enter a new chapter, she looks forward to continuing to provide her clients and professional partners exceptional service.
Outside of work, Qian is an avid Boston sports fan, gardener and stamp collector. She hopes in 2024 to improve her piano skills, continue her group workout classes and work hard with passion to make her year of 2024 great.
