When Ann DiMascio retired from law enforcement after 32 years, she wasn’t done helping others. She already had set her sights on real estate for her encore career and earned her license prior to retiring so she could hit the ground running. She did exactly that. In fact, her first listing came just after she passed the licensing exam; it was a multifamily property for a law-enforcement co-worker who became the first of many referrals.
“I wasn’t even affiliated with a company yet,” DiMascio remembers. “He told me that he knew I was brand new to real estate but he also knew my work ethic and that he trusted me.” From that point, DiMascio’s business grew immensely. She has won Century 21’s Master Diamond award multiple times in just over six years in the business, and her clients continue to be almost 100% referrals from others who express the same trust and confidence in her ability to represent them in the best possible way.
DiMascio’s strong interviewing and negotiation skills built over her tenure as a detective are keys to her real estate success, along with her network and strong relationships with lenders, attorneys, inspectors and other professionals. “Surrounding yourself with only the best and being the best delivers only the best value,” she advises. When clients need assistance, whether it’s from an attorney or an electrician, she refers them only to those she trusts explicitly. “It’s a representation of me,” DiMascio explains.
With a market area that extends throughout Greater Boston, all the way to southern Maine, DiMascio has a focus on the areas in and around Waltham and Cambridge. She works with clients in all stages of the homeownership journey and specializes in relocations.
In her free time, DiMascio stays active and supports her community. She’s happiest on the beach with family and friends.
