Indy Johar is one of the nation’s most accomplished mortgage professionals. He is a 22-year industry veteran who has served tens of thousands of borrowers and originated billions of dollars in home financing. In 2021, industry publication Scotsman Guide ranked him No. 5 in the nation on their Top Originators list, and he added to his impressive track record by closing more than $677 million in loans for the year.

As director of residential lending for Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp. and branch manager of the lender’s Franklin location, Johar serves clients throughout New England and beyond. Even though his loan production exceeds that of some entire mortgage companies, he is the sole originator on his team. He thrives on a tireless work ethic, an expertly tuned loan process and a world-class support team.

Johar’s mission is to help each of his customers achieve the American dream of homeownership. “I work around the clock to ensure I can always say ‘yes’ to my clients whenever possible,” says Johar. “I’m available seven days a week and do everything I can to make the loan process easy and stress-free for them.” While his specialty is assisting first-time homebuyers, he also works with many seasoned investors and longtime homeowners, as well.

Outside of the mortgage world, Johar’s passions include fixing and flipping homes and supporting animal welfare causes. He is a major benefactor of Animal Aid Unlimited, an organization that rescues and rehabilitates street animals in India. “This is a cause I’m very passionate about,” he says, “and it brings me great joy to be able to support their work.”
