Thanks to her grandfather, who was president of the board of Realtors in New Jersey, real estate is in her blood, and Genevieve Botelho became fascinated by real estate as a child. To this day, that fascination for the business and love for her clients continues to grow. She lives by her grandfather’s motto, “I don’t sell houses; I help people find homes.”
Just like her grandfather, Botelho, herself a Realtor with Lamacchia Realty, is a top producer. The last three years, she’s ranked No. 1 in her office for both transactions and sales volume. “These past few years have taught me how important it is to stay compassionate without losing that fight to [troubleshoot] any situation thrown at you,” she explains. “I love that my two teenage daughters, Chloe and Amelie, are able to see a strong, hardworking, independent woman getting things done day in and day out.”
That dedication took root while she worked her way through college as a waitress and bartender, mastering the art of multitasking and treating each customer as if they were her only one. Today, Botelho assists all categories of buyers and sellers in Worcester and Middlesex counties but insists she will go anywhere in Massachusetts for her clients. One of 17 siblings, she often represents family and friends of family.
The longer she works in real estate, the more Botelho realizes it’s an ever-changing market, especially the last two years with the pandemic. “I’ve learned to adapt and change,” she says, “with the safety and best interest of my clients always at the forefront.”
Botelho has been a President’s Club member since 2018 and has held Lamacchia’s President’s Club Elite status since its inception. She serves on the membership committee with the RACM. “I’m so lucky to love what I do,” she shares, “while helping people’s real estate dreams become a reality.”
