Melanie Fleet of Keller Williams Chestnut Hill started her career renting apartments in Boston in 2009 and slowly (or, perhaps, quickly) moved up the ladder to selling real estate. Last year, she sold over $50 million in real estate, but 2021 was also a record-breaking year in other ways: She launched her new brand, Fleet Homes, and started her own powerhouse real estate team. The team includes Abby Klein, her executive assistant, who brings all of Melanie’s ideas to life, and Samantha Kelly, her buyer’s agent, who helps buyers navigate a very competitive market. Fleet’s mantra has always been to provide concierge service to all her clients, no matter the price range — and growing her team was just another step in offering the most streamlined service.

Since 2017, Fleet had been the top individual agent in her Newton-based office. She’s been on HGTV, in The Boston Globe and regularly among The Wall Street Journal’s Real Trends list of top-performing real estate agents. In 2022, she looks forward to new goals, like finding life balance while servicing her clients, continuing to grow the business and watching her teammates flourish and find their own successes. She also hopes to dive into her first development project and is excited to learn the ropes, see her vision come to life and bring back that experience to her clients interested in investing and renovation projects.

As Melanie puts it, she’s “just a girl trying to build a real estate empire.” She says, “Often some of the most successful people are the ones always looking forward to what’s next; and for me, I thrive off new goals and dreams. I absolutely love working with all my clients and will forever sell real estate, but building my own little team has not only brought some amazing women into my world, it’s also opened my eyes to lots of exciting new possibilities, things I couldn’t have dreamed up a decade ago.”
