Ranking among the top 2% of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices’ real estate agents worldwide after just two years in the industry, Zack Harwood is one to watch. A senior sales associate at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Warren Residential, the Massachusetts native serves buyers and sellers in Boston, Brookline and the Greater Boston area, splitting his business between condos in the city and single-family homes in the suburbs.
During his first full calendar year, Harwood sold 20 homes and condos, exceeding $11 million in sales. In addition, he rented 49 apartments, including a $14,000-per-month penthouse in Back Bay.
Before entering the real estate industry, Harwood worked for the HomeGoods division at The TJX Companies for nearly a decade. As a buyer, he traveled internationally to negotiate millions of dollars of inventory purchases with importers, wholesalers and manufacturers. “My favorite part of buying was being an entrepreneur — starting new relationships and initiatives, negotiating, and pushing myself to grow a business,” he says.
When asked about what has contributed to his success in real estate, Harwood says it’s problem-solving and communication. “From being proactive and anticipating clients’ needs to reacting to unforeseen challenges, it’s important to stay positive and be flexible,” he remarks. “Clients appreciate consistent communication, honesty and insight into the homebuying process and current markets.”
A resident of Boston for the past 11 years, Harwood loves the local restaurant scene and seeing the city grow. Outside of work, he enjoys going to concerts and spending time on Cape Cod with his family.
