For Myrna Rothman, service is the No. 1 priority. “I truly love my job, and the feedback that my clients give me shows that they know I am there for them and am looking out for their best interests,” says Rothman, senior vice president at Douglas Elliman Real Estate. She serves residential buyers, sellers and investors in the Boston area, including in and around Brookline, near where she grew up. Midtown is her specialty, having moved there when The Ritz-Carlton opened and seeing the many subsequent changes to the landscape.

Rothman offers 33 years of real estate experience as well as a local’s familiarity with the neighborhoods’ offerings, both invaluable assets to her clients. She is also a listing broker for The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton Towers. A former real estate broker with Otis & Ahearn, Rothman joined Douglas Elliman after its acquisition of her longtime employer in 2018. “Transitioning to Douglas Elliman was a good decision,” she says, adding that within her first year at the company, she finished in the top three for production in Massachusetts. “That was amazing, given that I was out of work for a few weeks after having major spine surgery. I made calls from the hospital and kept it all together. I was really proud and honored to get that award.”

Rothman has also received the 2018 Ellie Award for Gross Commissions and Number of Transactions and was ranked as the Top Producer at the Ritz in 2014 and 2017. In 2003 and 2007, she received the Realty Guild Award for highest number of sales. Even with her business success, she keeps her sights set on her clients. “It isn’t always about dollars, but about making a person’s life better because of where they live,” she says.

Rothman is a member of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board. To relax, she loves to read, particularly at the beach, and spend time with her four children and seven grandchildren.
