Luis Silva became a Realtor to help people achieve their property ownership dreams. “Real estate is always changing. Every client, every deal, every property is different, which makes each day new and exciting,” says Silva of Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty. Specializing in the Greater Boston Area, Silva works primarily with renters and buyers, many of whom are purchasing their first home. “I feel comfortable working with all clients no matter what their budget is,” he says, adding that he strives to keep all parties informed throughout the entire process and prides himself in his responsiveness and approachability.

Prior to becoming a Realtor five years ago, Silva worked in landscaping and masonry. “It was amazing to see how a little visual enhancement can completely change the appeal of a property,” he says. “It actually helped me in real estate to be able to see the potential in more run down properties.”

This year, Silva accomplished his long-time goal of working with a particular developer and together, they closed a successful deal. He was also able to help many high school friends purchase their first homes. “It was great to see how far we have all come since then.”

Silva is a member of the Greater Boston Association of Realtors. This past year, he managed his own fundraiser to buy food baskets for the less fortunate in his home country of Brazil during the holiday season. He also actively raises money for the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital walk.

Silva is bilingual in Portuguese and English. Outside of work, he enjoys playing soccer and snowboarding.
