Developers have updated plans for the Neponset Wharf waterfront project in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood.

Plans are underway to reinvigorate Suffolk Downs with a 16 million square-foot project that could bring upwards of 10,000 condominiums and apartments to the former thoroughbred horse racing facility.

These projects will bring 307 residential units to the area, 230 of which will be designated affordable.

Mayor Martin J. Walsh announced more than $34 million in funding to create and preserve affordable housing throughout the city.

The legendary Doyle’s Cafe may have a rebirth thanks to a local developer. The iconic bar closed its doors in October 2019 after being in business for nearly 140 years.
