After more than 22 years in mortgage lending, Nolis Espinal says there isn’t a loan or market scenario he hasn’t seen, and that gives him an edge over the competition. “There’s nothing more rewarding than guiding clients from renting to owning and seeing how that decision positively impacts their lives,” says Espinal, a top-producing loan officer with NewFed Mortgage. “Every family I’ve helped this past year has been a reminder of why I love what I do.”

Helping families achieve their dream of homeownership is his biggest accomplishment.

An earlier career in construction unexpectedly opened the door to lending. In 2002, a lender hired him to complete some construction work on a project in Salem, Massachusetts. “Once the job was done, he suggested I refer clients to him and offered me a commission for each referral,” Espinal recalls. “After referring a few people, he saw my potential and offered me a job working alongside him. I quickly realized the earning potential in this business and made $100,000 my first year. I built a team, never looked back and I’ve been thriving in this industry ever since.”

His background in construction taught Espinal the value of hard work and the importance of understanding every piece of the real estate puzzle. “Transitioning to lending allowed me to see the bigger picture and grow in ways I never imagined,” he says. “It’s been an incredible journey of seizing opportunities and building upon them.”

Espinal has built a referral-based business by treating each client like family. He listens; provides clear, customized guidance; and prioritizes their comfort throughout the transaction. Being fluent in Spanish and understanding Portuguese allows him to connect with a broader range of clients and provide the customized support they need.
