If you’ve been anywhere near the South Shore real estate scene lately, you’ve probably felt it — that shift. The rooms are fuller, the conversations are better, and the energy feels different. More collaborative. More intentional. More … connected.
That’s not an accident.
As the 2026 president of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® South Shore Network, I’ve had a front-row seat to what happens when you bring the right people into the same room — and give them a reason to show up beyond just swapping business cards and closing deals together a few months later.
This year alone, we’ve hosted events that agents are still talking about weeks later. We kicked things off with New Year, New You: The Goal-Getters Guide to 2026, setting the tone with clarity, intention and a focus on building a business that actually supports your life — not the other way around.
From there, we leaned into something deeper with Steeped in Strength: Stories of Women Who Lead. This wasn’t your typical panel. It was an honest, behind-the-scenes look at leadership from some of the South Shore’s most respected voices: Susana Murphy, founder and broker of ALANTE Real Estate | Real Broker; Sarah Jane Tolman, owner and creator of Valoisa Media; Jennifer Bylo, owner and president of Bay State Bath; and Carol Bulman, CEO and chairman of the board at Jack Conway, moderated by Flávia da Silva-Benson, founder and chief lending officer of Dovetail Mortgage. The conversation was real, unfiltered and exactly what so many agents didn’t realize they needed, all in flowered dresses, tea cups in hand, to celebrate International Women’s Day.
In March, we took things to the rooftop — literally. REALTORS® on the Rooftop brought together agents from across the South Shore for a night of live music, connection and the kind of networking that actually feels fun (and productive). And we were just getting started. On May 19, we hosted Elevate and Automate: AI Essentials for REALTORS®, a Friends-themed brunch designed to help agents confidently — and compliantly — start using AI in their business. This summer’s line-up will be nothing short of amazing.
Here’s the thing: these events aren’t just about getting in a room. They’re about what happens after. The follow-ups. The referrals. The relationships that turn into real business.
But what makes the South Shore Network special goes beyond the numbers.
It’s the way new agents are welcomed into the room instead of left on the sidelines. It’s the conversations that go deeper than surface-level scripts. It’s the willingness to share what’s actually working — and what isn’t — without hesitation, in our Monthly Masterminds.
It’s also about leadership. 85% of Women’s Council members say their involvement has made them stronger leaders, and that shows up not just in business, but in their communities. This is a network that helps you grow into the kind of professional people look to — not just work with.
We’re also proud to collaborate with South Shore REALTORS®, our local Realtor association, creating opportunities that strengthen the broader South Shore real estate community and bring even more value to our members.
At the end of the day, the Women’s Council of REALTORS® South Shore network isn’t just another organization you join — it’s one you experience. It’s where you go to build relationships that actually move you forward, both personally and professionally, while being part of something that feels bigger than any one transaction.
And if you haven’t been in the room yet, we would love to have you.
Kate Fisher is the 2026 president of Women’s Council of REALTORS® South Shore.
